A famous radio personality from the 1950's wore these earrings as her signature jewelry. When television came into being, she was asked to appear on television, with the provision that she could NOT wear her Amethyst earrings. They flashed so much that it ruined the TV picture. She refused to go on television without her earrings, and thus these have never been featured or seen on that media. These are oval earrings set in 14K gold with round, brilliant Diamond accents.
